Winter and Christmas Stories
We're getting in the holiday spirit this Christmas. We believe the best way to spread some Christmas cheer is with a Christmas story. We don't know about anybody else but we start reading winter and Christmas-themed stories well before Christmas eve and Christmas day.
Christmas stories have always been a part of Christmas celebrations. They are often passed down through generations, with each generation adding their own unique twist to make the story even more exciting and memorable.
Christmas stories are also used as bedtime stories for kids, to spark their imagination and take them away on a magical Christmas adventure.
Christmas eve is one of the best days to exchange and tell Christmas stories. The anticipation of Christmas morning makes it all the more magical, as families gather together to share their favourite stories about Santa Claus, Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and many other classic characters.
They can also be used as teaching moments, to help children understand the spirit of Christmas and why it is so special. Whether it's a traditional tale or a modern version, these stories have a way of bringing the whole family together in the festive season.
One of the world's favourite Christmas stories is A Christmas Carol, by Charles Dickens. A Christmas Carol tells the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, a bitter old man who is visited by three ghosts during the course of one night. They show him visions of his past, present and future Christmases, helping him to realise the error of his ways and to open his heart to the spirit of Christmas.
Another popular Christmas story is The Fir Tree, by Hans Christian Andersen. A fir tree dreams of greater things than growing in a forest and when it gets its wish and is made into a Christmas tree, it faces new challenges. A little boy takes pity on the tree and helps it to understand the true essence of Christmas.
The Golden Key, by George MacDonald, is another beloved Christmas story. A small boy and girl find a golden key that leads them on an incredible journey through time and space. Along the way, they are met with magical creatures and learn about different cultures around the world. The story ends with the children realising that all of these different cultures share a common, universal spirit that ties them together.
These are just a few Christmas short stories that Sooper Books has retold in a modern, magical way.
Make your child's Christmas special this year and create a Christmas memory they won't forget.
Kids Christmas story
Sometimes to get your children into the Christmas spirit all you need is a Winter themed story. Dink and Donk is an original winter story that follows Sarafina Dinkle, a young Husharoonia and a moose named Donk. This exciting winter story will have your kids captivated as they join Dink and Donk.
Christmas Bedtime Stories
Bedtime stories provide an opportunity for children to wind down before bed and dream of a winter wonderland. A Christmas Carol is a great Christmas bedtime story that will captivate your children with its magical adventures. Other Christmas bedtime stories include The Fir Tree and The Golden Key, both of which offer valuable lessons about the spirit of Christmas.
Sometimes you need a short story at bedtime, whether you don't have much time or your child is asking for one more story, for the 3rd time... Our favourite Christmas stories are all between 5 and 10 minutes long.
So no matter which story you choose, they are sure to create beautiful memories and bring joy to your family this Christmas season.
