Summary
A child decides he never wants to have porridge again. When other children join him in his anti-porridge movement, adults become determined to stop him. A Breakfast story follows the campaign of a young boy who is on a mission to spread the message that porridge is "splodgy, lumpy gruel". Open Mindedness and compromise are themes present throughout the rhyme. In the end our main character learns a valuable lesson that you should try new things before deciding you do not like them.
