Our retelling of The Enchanted Canary focuses on the themes of love and the pursuit of happiness. The moral of this story teaches readers to follow their dreams, treat others with kindness, and be open to the possibilities that life presents. The fairy tale also explores themes of quests, acceptance and forgiveness. We took inspiration from the French fairy tale, The Enchanted Canary collected by Charles Deulin in the 19th Century.
