The earliest version of Sleeping Beauty dates back to the 14th century and featured a princess Talia. Perrut’s version in the late 17th century introduced many of the famous elements such as the wicked fairy, the hundred year sleep and the Prince waking Sleeping Beauty which has become a staple in popular versions we know and love today.
