The Airmail Audiobook Story Series: Episode 5 - Wish Upon A Starling
Wish Upon A Starling has themes of bullying, kindness, empathy, embarrassment, jealousy and trust. Solly, as always, demonstrates his kindness to customers and is rewarded at work. This makes a couple of his colleagues jealous, who then try to embarrass Solly. However their jealous behaviour backfires on them when their actions are exposed.
The main theme of this story is jealousy. Jealousy is a feeling we might have when we see someone else having something or doing something that we want for ourselves. The moral lesson is to not let jealousy control our actions and thoughts and that our self-worth should not be dependent on how we measure up to others, but rather on our own actions, efforts.
